Altair 4 is an instrumental fusion trio built on heavy riffing, odd meters, seventies fusion roots, and modern sensibilities.Hunter Herman (drums) studied extensively with the late Henry Adler. Out of a background in sculpture and metalwork he builds his own snare drums, everything from the hand-formed shells to the throw-off. He has also designed the Heil Sound HH-1 drum mic mount, which carries his initials. Endorses Heil Sound, Phoenix Audio, and DW Fearn.Elliot Herman (bass, keys) is a dialogue and sound engineer with credits across animated series and video games. His solo albums Empyrean Hemisphere and Shades of Empyrean feature all three members of Altair 4.
